FAQ
Common questions.
Is my engineering data safe?
Teleos is self-hosted — it runs on your infrastructure, not ours. Your GitHub tokens, repo names, engineer names, and commit data never leave your environment. We built a factory monitor, not a data pipeline.
Do you track AI-assisted code?
Some tools track prompt-to-commit chains through IDE telemetry — Cursor Analytics, certain Copilot enterprise tiers. Teleos reads what's in the commit: if a developer's tooling adds a Co-Authored-By trailer, we surface it. That's a fact the developer put there. What we don't do is integrate with proprietary AI telemetry systems or make inferences about authorship from code patterns. The commit is the unit of meaning. Whether it was AI-assisted is between the engineer and their tools — unless they chose to record it.
Does it work with Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Devin?
If it commits, Teleos sees it. Any agent that opens PRs or pushes commits to your GitHub repos is tracked — regardless of which AI product it uses under the hood. You classify it once (Human · Bot · AI Agent) and Teleos carries that classification through every report.
Why flat pricing instead of per seat?
Per-seat pricing made sense when every committer was a person. In the agentic era your repos get commits from agents, dependency bots, and GitHub Apps that don't have headcount. Charging per seat for a bot doesn't make sense — and punishing you for using AI tooling makes even less sense. Flat annual fee, unlimited committers.
Does IT need to be involved?
Not to get started. Teleos ships as a Docker image. A GitHub PAT, one docker run command, and you have a working instance against your repos. There's nothing to review with your security team because there's no third-party data flow — your IT team controls the instance, your security team can inspect the image. The enterprise security review doesn't apply.
When can I actually use this?
Teleos is in active development. Join the waitlist and you'll be in the first wave of early access — no pricing page, no sales call, no demo required. You'll get a Docker image, a PAT scope list, and 30 minutes of async support to get it running on your team.
